What is solo dog walking?
Solo dog walking is a private, one-to-one walk where your dog has the walker’s full attention, without dogs from other households joining them.
It gives us the flexibility to follow your dog’s pace, choose suitable surroundings and make time for the things they enjoy — whether that means exploring a quiet route, stopping for plenty of sniffs or enjoying a more energetic walk.
At Wild & Worthy, we start by getting to know your dog, their routine and what helps them feel comfortable.
Individual attention. Thoughtful routes. A familiar face.
A walk that works for your dog
Some dogs love a lively outing. Others feel happier on quieter streets or need a little more time to build confidence.
Our one-to-one dog walks are shaped around your dog’s age, energy, temperament and preferences.
For dogs who prefer their own space
Your dog doesn’t have to enjoy group walks to enjoy getting outside. Solo walks give them space to explore without the pressure of keeping up with unfamiliar dogs.
For dogs who find busy places overwhelming
We’ll discuss the situations your dog finds difficult and choose routes with their comfort in mind. That might mean quieter streets, more distance from other dogs or avoiding busy times.
For puppies discovering the world
Gentle outings can give puppies opportunities to explore at a suitable pace. We’ll agree an approach that reflects their age, vaccination status and your vet’s advice.
For older dogs who enjoy a gentler stroll
Slower walks, familiar surroundings and time to stop can make outings more enjoyable for senior dogs. We’ll follow your guidance on their mobility and routine.
For owners who need a dependable helping hand
Whether you’re working, managing appointments or juggling a busy week, we help your dog enjoy company and outdoor time when you can’t take them yourself.

The benefits of a solo dog walk
Your dog gets our full attention
With one dog to focus on, we can pay close attention to their pace, body language and surroundings.
More freedom to follow their routine
We can plan around what suits your dog, including their usual walking habits, preferred routes and need for rest breaks.
Time to sniff and explore
A good walk is about more than distance. Sniffing and exploring give dogs opportunities to engage with their environment.
A relationship built over time
Regular walks give your dog the chance to become familiar with their walker and develop a comfortable routine.
Less pressure from unfamiliar dogs
One-to-one walks remove the need to share the outing with a group, which may suit dogs who prefer space or find group walks overwhelming.
Support for your everyday routine
Knowing your dog has a walk arranged gives you one less thing to organise during a busy day.
Why choose Wild & Worthy?
We get to know the dog behind the lead
Before the first walk, we’ll talk about your dog’s personality, habits, likes and dislikes. We want to understand what makes a good walk for them.
Solo walks are our focus
Your dog receives individual attention throughout their outing. We don’t add unfamiliar dogs to their walk.
We listen to your instructions
From handling preferences and walking equipment to recall, treats and situations to avoid, we agree the important details with you beforehand.
We understand that every dog is different
A confident young dog and a cautious older dog may need very different outings. We take a thoughtful, patient approach instead of expecting every dog to follow the same routine.
We’re a local pet business

Do you offer solo dog walking in Highbury and Islington?
Yes. Wild & Worthy offers solo dog walking in Highbury, Islington, Stoke Newington, Holloway and Finsbury Park, subject to availability and your collection address.
Will my dog walk with other dogs?
No. Our solo walks are private outings for your dog, without dogs from other households joining them. We may encounter other dogs while out, and we’ll follow the handling preferences agreed with you.
Are solo walks suitable for anxious dogs?
They can suit dogs who prefer individual attention and more space. We’ll discuss your dog’s triggers and behaviour at the meet & greet to assess whether our service is appropriate. Dog walking does not replace specialist behavioural support.
Can you walk puppies and older dogs?
We welcome enquiries for puppies and senior dogs. Walks must be appropriate for their age, health and mobility, and we’ll follow any relevant veterinary guidance you provide.
Can you take my dog somewhere quieter?
We’re happy to discuss quieter routes and suitable green spaces. Where transport is agreed, travel time is included within the booked service time. We’ll explain the arrangements before you book.
Can my dog be walked off lead?
We’ll discuss this individually. Off-lead walking requires your permission and depends on your dog’s recall, the location and whether conditions are suitable. Otherwise, walks will be on lead.
Do you offer regular weekly walks?
Please get in touch with your preferred days and times. We’ll check availability and discuss a routine that works for you and your dog.
How much does solo dog walking cost?
